Well, one of most prolific award ceremony Oscars held today at Los Angeles. Each and every year, the entertainment industry and film fans all over the world would turn their attention towards the Oscars award ceremony. It is one of the most glamorous and prestigious awards for the actor/actress and technicians.

It was the 91^st Academy Awards ceremony. Unlike the previous awards show, 91^st academy show held without any host and ran just for about 2.30 hours instead of being run over 4 hours like in past.

About 91^st Academy Awards – Oscars 2019

The 91^st Academy Awards literally known as the Oscars – 2019 presented by AMPAS (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences) in order to honor the best films and technicians/artists for the films released in the year 2018. The Oscars 2019 awards presented in 24 categories.

The American based Television Channel ABC has owned the telecast rights and successfully telecasted the entire award show that ran for about 3hours, 22 minutes.

The Winners and Nominees for the 91^st Academy Awards were announced last month on 22^nd of January 2019. The actors Kumail Nanjiani and Tracee Ellis Ross announced the lists at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater cited in Beverly Hills, California.

Controversies of Oscars 2019

• Donna Gigliotti and Glenn Weiss have replaced the producers, Michael De Luca, and Jennifer Todd, as they refused to helm the 2019 Oscars awards.
• Despite selecting the presenter for hosting Oscars-2019, on 9^th January 2019, the Academy announced its plan of conducting 91^st academy award ceremony without a host.
• With the intention of cutting the broadcasting ceremony time, on January 25 – 2019, the academy announced that only 2 of the 5 nominated “Best Original Song” will be performed live. However, later it was withdrawn because of heavy backlash from audience and musicians.
• Similar to that on 11^th February 2019 it was announced that awards for the categories ‘Best Cinematography’, ‘Best Live Action Short Film’, ‘Best Film Editing’, and ‘Best Makeup and Hairstyling’ will be held during the commercial break. But later it was revised due to heavy backlash and filmmakers.
